Job Description:
We’re looking for a caring, warm-hearted Kaitiaki to join our Papamoa village team. This role is truly special — it's all about spending meaningful time with our residents supporting their daily wellbeing and helping across the village including the kitchen.
As a Kaitiaki, your focus will be on bringing joy, independence and companionship to the people who call our village home.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Delivering morning and afternoon tea to residents and helping with eating and drinking
- Assisting in the kitchen with washing dishes and light duties
- Helping with group and individual exercise sessions
- Supporting physiotherapists with activities that encourage mobility and independence
- Supporting residents with light personal activities, like painting nails or going for walks
This is a permanent part-time role working 4 days on, 2 days off roster, with shifts across:
- Morning shift: 7.00am – 1.30pm
- Afternoon shift: 2.45pm – 9.00pm
(includes weekend work)
Qualifications:
You don’t need any previous experience — just the right attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives. We’ll provide full training to get you started.
You’ll be a great fit if you:

- Are kind, patient and enjoy spending time with people
- Are curious about aged care, physiotherapy, or community support and want hands-on experience
