KT  Trivedi

I have been part of the Summerset family for almost 5 years now, and it has been truly rewarding experience. Before moving to New Zealand, I spent nine years working in aged care in Australia, where my passion for supporting older adults really began to grow. Joining Summerset gave me the opportunity to take that passion further – to lead, innovate, and to make a difference in their life on daily basis.

During my time here in Summerset, I have had the privilege of being involved in the national falls prevention project, focusing on reducing falls with fractures – an initiative that has had a real impact on resident wellbeing. What I value about Summerset is the incredible support network that surrounds us. From village managers and regional managers to the head of clinical, there is a genuine sense of teamwork, trust, and encouragement that allows every nurse to thrive and reach their potential.

Summerset also truly recognises and celebrates hard work through celebrating International Nurses Day, frontliners day and through initiatives like Applause awards, which highlights the outstanding contributions of staff across the organisation. It’s a wonderful reminder that our efforts are seen, valued, and appreciated.

I am proud to be part of an organisation that not only delivers exceptional care but also invests in and uplifts its people.
