Job Description:
We are on the look out for an experienced Caregiver to join our team at the Summerset by the Dunes Village in Papamoa, Tauranga! As our Caregiver, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents in our Memory Care space. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.
Typical duties include:

Provide personal care to residents under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, including assistance with daily needs such as showering, meals, toileting, and other tasks as outlined in individual care plans.

Foster respectful and supportive relationships with residents and their families to enhance mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Assist in delivering activity programs tailored to residents' needs.

Contribute to creating a welcoming, enjoyable, and safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Provide care assistance across the village, including first aid response and support for residents in Care Centre, Villas, Apartments, and Care Apartments as needed.

Adhere to policies and procedures, maintain accurate records, promptly report concerns, and ensure professional and ethical conduct.

Perform additional tasks as required, such as cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, escorting residents, or assisting with organized activities.

Medication competent
This is a Permanent Full Time role working 30 - 37.5 hours per week on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster. This will be either be a 7:00am - 3:00pm shift, or 3:00pm - 11:00pm shift.
The pay range of this position is $28.42 - $30.70 per hour.

Qualifications:
We are looking for exceptional, experienced Caregivers to join our team! To be a successful candidate you will:
- Hold a Health and Wellbeing Level 4 certificate (or relevant overseas equivalent)
- Hold a Dementia Care (LCP) Level 4 certificate
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate is desirable, or willingness to attain it
- Have 2+ years experience in a caregiver or similar role - previous experience in memory care is advantageous
- have genuine compassion for all kinds of people from all walks of life
- be a team player and be able to manage your time well in order to complete all your tasks
- be available to work on a rostered and rotating shift pattern (including mornings, afternoon and weekends)
