About the role
This is an exciting new role that has been created to help drive the clinical strategy for Summerset. You will be part of a wider clinical management team and work alongside our Head of Clinical Services.
You will be the "go to" clinical person for input into clinical and operational decisions with Summerset. A real opportunity to utilise your experience and expertise to shape the operational quality of our resident care.
Key focus areas include:
- Clinical Strategy Delivery - project management of initiatives that improve our clinical practice to enhance our ability to "Bring the Best of Life" for Summerset residents.
- Continuous Improvement Culture - management of high level complaints and applying learnings from identified trends to ensure sustained improvement on a national basis.
- A national focus on Clinical Key Performance Indicator monitoring and a balanced score card approach.
- Clinical Policy Development and Review to support sustained improvement and to maintain an evidence based approach.
Success in the role is demonstrated when the desired models of care are developed, implemented and monitored on a national level. Ongoing success is measured via a continuous improvement approach to ensure the model continues to meet the needs of the residents. Some of the work will be head office based, but we would also expect that you are the type to also be out and about, developing relationships, and ensuring the theory works in practice.

Qualifications:
About you
You will have a current practicing certificate and have a strong knowledge of the aged residential care industry, including DHB standards and compliance requirements, and you'll have a genuine passion for helping create an enjoyable lifestyle for the elderly.
You will have impressive stakeholder management skills and you will put them to work inspiring the team to adopt a continuous improvement approach to the services they deliver. You will apply a customer focused approach to supporting the complaints resolution process.
