Job Description:
As an Enrolled Nurse at our Summerset at Karaka Retirement Village, you’ll work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting residents with their clinical and personal care needs, and contributing to a positive, homelike environment.
What you will do:
- Deliver resident care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and documenting observations.
- Support and guide caregivers to ensure smooth and consistent delivery of care.
- Draft and contribute to resident care plans under RN supervision.
- Monitor resident wellbeing, identify and report risks or issues, and ensure infection control practices are followed.
- Complete assessments, assist with examinations, and provide culturally appropriate education to residents and families.
- Foster positive interpersonal relationships with residents, families, and the wider clinical team.
This is a full time role working 60 - 80 hours per fortnight. You will be working on a shift pattern of 5 days on, 2 days off, working AM, PM, or night shifts on a rolling roster basis.
Qualifications:
You'll bring with you:
- Hold an Enrolled Nursing Diploma
- A NZ Registration and a current Practicing Certificate
- Have a positive “can do” attitude and genuine interest in working with older people.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Emotionally resilient and a strong team player.
