Company Description:

At Summerset, from the moment we start developing a village to when our residents call it home, it’s the passion and dedication of our people that brings our villages to life. We are one team, united by being part of something bigger – to bring the best of life to our residents.

About the Role

As our Enterprise Manager – DevOps, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security and performance of the digital platforms and core infrastructure that underpin Summerset’s operations.

Reporting to the GM Digital Services & Security, you’ll lead enterprise platform operations, core infrastructure, security and DevSecOps practices across a complex, care‑critical environment. You’ll balance frequent, automated change with strong controls to ensure safe, compliant and highly available digital services for residents, villages and the wider business.

Working closely with digital delivery teams, cyber security, risk, construction and external partners, you’ll help shape how Summerset builds, runs and secures platforms—now and into the future.

Your Day‑to‑Day Will Include:

  • Leading the operational performance of enterprise platforms across care, village, property, facilities and corporate systems
  • Owning core infrastructure services including cloud, data centre, networks, identity, endpoints, integration and middleware
  • Driving DevSecOps practices such as automation, infrastructure‑as‑code, resilient deployments and operable‑by‑design solutions
  • Ensuring platforms consistently meet availability, performance, resilience and automation targets
  • Embedding security‑by‑design and operating enterprise controls aligned to ISO 27001, NIST and internal risk frameworks
  • Leading vulnerability management, patching, monitoring, logging and security incident response
  • Strengthening operational resilience through automation, failover testing and disaster recovery practices
  • Managing managed service providers and technology partners to meet service, security and compliance obligations
  • Providing clear operational risk, performance and DevOps maturity reporting (e.g. MTTR, deployment frequency, change failure rate)
  • Leading, developing and uplifting a high‑performing DevOps team with strong one‑team ways of working

About You

You’re an experienced technology leader who combines strong technical credibility with a calm, safety‑focused approach. You’re comfortable operating in complex enterprise environments and understand the importance of reliability, compliance and resident safety—without compromising on innovation and automation.

You’ll Also Bring:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Extensive experience leading digital services or enterprise operations in complex environments
  • Strong DevSecOps experience, including automation and modern ICT practices
  • Proven experience operating within ISO 27001 and certification audit environments
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise systems, infrastructure, security and networking
  • Experience leading platform reliability, security and operational maturity at scale
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to lead, influence and collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams

Experience within aged care, healthcare or other care‑critical environments is an advantage, but not essential.

We’re committed to creating a workplace where people feel supported, valued and empowered to do their best work.

  • Free Southern Cross health insurance
  • Ongoing professional development and tailored career progression
  • Birthday leave
