As our Group Sales Manager, you’ll play a critical leadership role in driving sales performance across a portfolio of Summerset villages. Reporting to the Head of Sales – NZ, you will lead, coach, and inspire onsite sales teams to deliver strong commercial outcomes while ensuring every customer experiences the best of Summerset.
This role is responsible for providing strategic sales leadership, building high performing teams, and embedding consistent sales excellence across the portfolio. You’ll bring an organisational‑wide perspective to challenges, support new village and main building launches, and ensure sales activity aligns with organisational goals, values, and customer expectations.
Your Day‑to‑Day Will Include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing onsite sales teams to achieve sales targets and KPIs
- Driving financial performance across the portfolio, consistently delivering strong sales outcomes
- Ensuring a high‑quality and customer‑centred sales experience
- Supporting new village and main building launches, key events, and sales initiatives
- Analysing sales performance, pipeline health, and conversion metrics to identify and implement improvements
- Providing visible leadership through regular site visits, identifying opportunities and removing barriers to success
- Building strong relationships with village leadership teams, sales colleagues, residents, and key stakeholders
- Contributing to sales strategy execution, competitor intelligence, and performance reporting
- Leading capability‑building initiatives and managing direct reports across recruitment, performance, and development
About You
You’re a commercially astute and people‑focused sales leader with a proven track record of delivering results through high‑performing teams. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment, bring energy and resilience, and have the confidence to challenge constructively while maintaining strong relationships.
You’ll Also Bring:
- Proven experience in sales leadership and performance delivery
- Strong people leadership capabilities, including coaching and building team capability
- Deep understanding of sales best practice, including value propositions, pipeline management, and conversion optimisation
- Confidence working with data, generating insights, and facilitating performance discussions
- A results‑driven mindset with the courage to make tough calls and maintain momentum through change
