A Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant at Summerset is more than just a cleaner.
You're a quiet hero behind the scenes — keeping our village fresh, homely, and dignified for the people who live here.
We’re looking for hardworking, caring Housekeeper/Laundry Assistants to join our warm and welcoming Cranbourne North village team. This role is all about making sure our residents feel comfortable, safe, and truly at home.
As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant, you'll be a key part of creating a clean, uplifting, and homelike environment for residents, their families, and fellow team members.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Ensuring high-quality cleaning across resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry, and kitchen facilities
- Laundering, folding and returning residents’ clothing and linens with care and attention
- Labelling, mending and maintaining residents' personal laundry items
- Supporting infection control measures and health and safety procedures
- Building friendly, respectful relationships with residents and understanding their unique needs
We have the following shifts available:
- Thursday and Friday 7am - 3pm
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8am - 1pm
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 3pm - 6pm
We also have opportunities to join the team on a casual basis.
This role will commence on the 23rd March 2026 and will start with 2 weeks of full-time training.

Qualifications:
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- You have experience in housekeeping and or laundry ideally in a healthcare or hospitality setting
- Take pride in your work and care about the small details
- Are physically fit and comfortable working on your feet
- Have a genuine interest in aged care (no experience necessary — full training provided)
