About the role
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Legal Executive to join our close-knit & collaborative Legal Team. We assist, oversee, and provide advice to internal business partners, which led to Legal being nominated for our internal awards for the One Team for 2024-25. Summerset is NZ’s leading retirement village developer & operator!
What will your responsibilities be?
- Autonomously managing the settlements and terminations across a portfolio of Summerset’s Villages in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintaining an effective, professional, and friendly point of contact for lawyers of prospective Summerset residents.
- Ensuring that Summerset maintains leading practices in the management of legal and customer information.
- Assisting the wider legal team with projects and administrative tasks.
What you’ll bring?
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a legal executive or senior legal secretary.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of professionalism.
- A ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver work accurately and on time.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detailed and deadline driven.
- Great understanding of numbers.
