About the Role 

As a Procurement and Contracts Specialist, you’ll lead end-to-end procurement processes, manage supplier on-boarding relationships, and ensure compliance with legislative and organisational standards. This fixed-term role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering quality outcomes in aged care and facilities management. 

This is a 6-month fixed term position.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead procurement activities including RFTs, RFQs, and RFPs. 
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts ensuring compliance and quality service delivery. 
  • Maintain a contracts register and monitor performance, renewals, and obligations. 
  • Conduct market research and supplier evaluations, including comparisons of current suppliers to our New Zealand villages. 
  • Support internal and external audits and promote procurement transparency. 
  • Drive sustainability initiatives aligned with our carbon emissions reduction goals. 
  • Provide procurement advice and training to staff. 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Tertiary qualification in contracts management or related field. 
  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management. 
  • Knowledge of aged care, health, or community services (desirable). 
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Understanding of Property and Facilities Management, Building Act 1993, National Construction Code, and Health and Safety legislation.
