Job Description:

We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Property Assistant to join our friendly team at Summerset. In this full-time role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the high standards Summerset takes pride in – helping to keep our village safe, beautiful, and running smoothly.

You’ll work closely with the Property Manager and Head Gardener to support a wide range of maintenance and gardening tasks across the village. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with general property and garden maintenance
  • Helping with building maintenance and refurbishments
  • Assisting with landscaping, gardening, and ground care tasks
  • Taking part in property inspections and reporting safety or maintenance issues
  • Communicating clearly and respectfully with residents, team members, and contractors

This is a Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm position. You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team who work together to create a village our residents are proud to call home.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for someone practical, approachable and dependable, with the ability to take initiative and complete a variety of tasks efficiently. This role would suit someone looking to shift into a stable role, that takes pride in their work and surroundings. Someone who likes to engage with people in the village and their home and create a people-first environment.

You’ll be successful in this role if you have:

  • Experience in property maintenance and gardening
  • Strong DIY or trade skills – part trade qualified preferred
  • A current driver’s licence
  • The ability to work independently and take pride in your work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
