Job Description:

We are looking for a warm and welcoming part‑time receptionist to join the team at Summerset Cambridge, working every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 10.00am – 2.00pm).

At Summerset, we’re proud to create vibrant, caring communities where residents feel truly at home. As one of our weekend receptionist, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and our teams—bringing a positive, calm, and can‑do approach to every interaction.

This is a great opportunity to be part of the Summerset Cambridge community, working in a beautiful village environment that our residents proudly call home.

Your day‑to‑day will include:

  • Providing outstanding front‑desk service to residents, families, visitors, and team members
  • Supporting resident safety and assisting with any incidents that may arise
  • Providing timely administrative support to the Village and Care Centre teams
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting smooth day‑to‑day operations

Qualifications:

You’ll be the kind of person who thrives on helping others, keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, and communicates effortlessly with people from all walks of life. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to support a dynamic management team, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll  also bring:

  • A strong background in customer service and administration 

  • Ideally experience supporting a management team with day-to-day operations

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills

  • The ability to work independently and take initiative when needed

  • A calm and empathetic nature who is first to lend a hand to support our residence and teams with incidents like trips and falls, confusion or upset or just a soothing chat over a cup of tea.
