Job Description:
You’ll be the most senior clinician on site and second in command for the whole village. Leading the daily operations and strategic direction of our purpose-built 72-bed Care Centre, working alongside the Village Manager to ensure the best outcomes for our residents.
Our Cranbourne North village will be home to:
- 160 Independent Living Units
- 34 Serviced Apartments
- 72 Residential Aged Care beds
- 85+ passionate staff
With residents already calling our ILUs home, and our care centre soon to open, you’ll have the rare opportunity to:
- Recruit and build your own high-performing team
- Establish clinical policies and procedures
- Set the cultural tone for care
- Welcome our first care centre residents into their new home
You’ll be responsible for clinical leadership, workforce planning, compliance, quality standards, and shaping an exceptional resident experience from day one.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and mentor a team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Carers, and Lifestyle staff
- Drive a culture of clinical excellence, compassion and resident-centred care
- Ensure compliance with Strengthened Aged Care Standards, audits, and regulatory bodies (DOH, ACQSC)
- Partner with residents, families and healthcare providers to deliver tailored, holistic support
- Support the Village Manager in operational leadership – and step in as second-in-command when needed
- Oversee incident responses, quality improvement, reporting (SIRS, NQIP), and clinical risk management
- Deliver training and performance coaching for ongoing staff development
Qualifications:
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced aged care professional who wants to shape the future of care.
You’ll bring:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar leadership role (Facility Manager, Residence Manager, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of the aged care sector, including funding models and regulatory changes
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Proven experience in leading clinical teams in residential care
- Confidence to manage both strategic and hands-on operations in a growing environment
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential)
