About the Role 

As our Learning and Development Specialist, you’ll lead the design, development, and delivery of fit-for-purpose learning initiatives that support the successful launch of our aged care operations in Australia. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our people are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to deliver exceptional care and meet regulatory standards. 

This is a 9-month fixed term contract.   

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with project and clinical teams to map training content and reporting requirements to applicable legislation and standards.  
  • Identify capability gaps. 
  • Develop and manage a detailed L&D project plan to address capability gaps aligned with operational go-live timelines. 
  • Design and adapt targeted learning solutions using adult learning principles and inclusive practices. 
  • Ensure all learning initiatives meet or exceed Australian Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC) standards. 
  • Partner with internal SMEs and external providers to source and deliver timely, effective training. 
  • Support LMS configuration, reporting, and compliance tracking in collaboration with the L&OD team. 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent); tertiary qualifications in healthcare or education are a plus. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in L&D, with a strong background in adult learning design and delivery. 
  • Experience in the Australian health or aged care sector. 
  • Proficiency in eLearning tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline. 
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
