Company Description:

You can help bring our villages to life!

At Summerset, from the moment we start developing a village, to when our residents call it home, it’s the passion and dedication of our people that brings our villages to life. We are one team united by being part of something bigger – to bring the best of life to our residents.

The way we work is guided by our values - One Team, Strong Enough to Care and Strive to Be the Best. We know it takes a collective effort to bring a village to life and help it thrive, so Summerset is a place where everyone’s uniqueness and diversity can shine.

Job Description:

This isn’t your standard internal recruitment role – it’s fast-paced, energising, and packed with variety. As part of our Villages Recruitment team, you’ll play a key role in launching 8 village expansions across New Zealand over the next 12 months.

You’ll help build entire teams from the ground up – over 70 hires per village – and be right in the thick of it: screening CVs, conducting engaging phone and video interviews, prepping materials for assessment centres, and making sure our onboarding runs smoothly and on time.

From Caregivers and Nurses to Kitchen Assistants and Gardeners, you’ll be helping us find the people who make our villages thrive. If you love the buzz of bulk hiring and the satisfaction of seeing a new team, come to life, this is the job for you.

Qualifications:

Our internal recruitment team of five is experienced, supportive, and a lot of fun to work with. You’ll work closely with a Senior Advisor who will support you every step of the way – but we’re also looking for someone who can bring their own energy, ideas, and initiative. You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience in high-volume or project-based recruitment (agency or in-house)
  • A great attitude – flexible, solution-focused, and ready to roll with change
  • A strong sense of drive – you enjoy keeping things moving and meeting deadlines
  • A team-first approach – you’re happy to pitch in wherever needed

You’ll be using SmartRecruiter and Talegent Video Interviews – experience with these (or similar tools) is a plus but not essential.

Additional Information:

At Summerset, we believe great work should feel great too. Here’s what else you can expect when you join our team:

  • Flexibility that works for you – work from home up to 2 days a week and enjoy flexible start/finish times
  • Celebrate you – take a paid day off to mark your birthday your way
  • Meaningful work – this is a job where you’ll see the impact of your efforts every time you visit a village or meet one of your hires

This is a 12-month opportunity to be part of something special – launching new communities and shaping the teams that will make them shine. We’re ready to get started, and if you are too, we’d love to hear from you. Applications close Saturday 12th July.
