Company Description:

Summerset is preparing to open the doors to its brand-new retirement and care facility in Cranbourne North. A stunning addition to our already vibrant village community in New Zealand. With its beautiful location this new space will be the jewel in our crown. We’re looking for a friendly, energetic Personal Care Worker to start with us for 8 weeks as our Night Village Assistant to help bring it to life before transitioning to our care team.

If you love helping others, staying calm under pressure, and making a tangible difference overnight, this role is for you.

Job Description:

The opportunity

You’ll be our onsite after‑hours first point of contact across the village. Sole‑charge while on duty, to support residents and respond to any emergencies. Sleepover shifts typically involve active work 5pm–9pm, then on‑call while you sleep from 9pm–7am (with a sleep allowance), and weekend finishes with further work hours of 7am-10am. We’re hiring two team members and a casual position to cover 7 nights between you of 2–5 nights each.

What you’ll do

Provide exceptional resident support and village cover: answer after‑hours enquiries, address security concerns, respond to the emergency call bell and ensuring the emergency services have access when needed, helping residents with practical tasks such as changing a lightbulb etc, light cleaning of shared areas, light admin (e.g., diary handover, and data entry), and support events or sales showings when needed.
